Register to Race

Drivers Only - Register to Race - Practice 3 onwards

To register to race, you must hold a current and valid Speedway NZ licence. Volunteers you DO NOT need to register.

From Practice 3 onwards, Beachlands Speedway competitors will be using the new Speedway NZ online Sporty event registration system for all race entries.

You can register to race in one of two ways:

1. Through the Speedway NZ App

  • Open your Speedway NZ app and log in.
  • Open your licence.
  • Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
  • Select Enter Event.
  • Choose the event and complete your registration.

2. Through the Event Calendar on the Competitors Page

  • Visit the Beachlands Speedway Competitors page on the website.
  • Open the Event Calendar (see below).
  • Select Enter on the event you wish to race in.
  • Log in and complete your registration.

Check Your Entries

You can view all your race entries in the Speedway NZ app by selecting My Events from the three-dot menu on your licence.

Entry Statuses

  • Pending: Awaiting approval.
  • Approved: Accepted into the event.

Important

  • This requirement applies to competitors only. VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT REQUIRED to register through this system.
  • Registering to race does not automatically guarantee a place in an event. All entries must be reviewed and approved by the event organisers.

We encourage all competitors to familiarise themselves with the new system before Practice 3 to ensure a smooth transition into the season. 🏁

DRIVER INFORMATION

All Drivers must enter to race online no later than 4 days prior to the race meeting

All vehicles must be inspected by a Scrutineer before 4:00pm on Race Day

Compulsory Drivers Briefing: Starts at 4:15pm (drivers only)

Racing Starts: 5:00pm (unless otherwise advised)

PIT INFORMATION

Pit gate opens at 1:00pm

Vehicle entry to the pits via this gate is for tow vehicles only

Covered in shoes must be worn at all times in the pits

All children 14 years and younger are recommended to wear a high vis vest and be with an adult at all times

SCRUTINEERING & C.V.I (GREEN SHEET) INFORMATION

All vehicles must pass Comprehensive Vehicle Inspection (C.V.I) prior to each new race season

C.V.I dates will be advertised prior to the race season

Drivers can arrange a C.V.I by appointment by contacting our head Scrutineer

A zero tolerance to verbal abuse and violence policy will be enforced

PREPARATION FOR C.V.I

Vehicle to be on axle stands with wheels off

Body, wing & bonnet must be removed

Seat belts to be fitted to the vehicle, race-ready

All wheels are ready for stamping
